I’ve been spending a lot of time second shooting weddings with some great photographers, and this past weekend was no exception.  I had an incredible time joining the fabulous Christina of Wisner Photo for Megan and Matt’s lovely wedding at Hotel Palomar Dallas.  I have been admiring Christina’s work for a while now, so when she asked me to join her a couple of weeks ago I was giddy and even nervous.. shhhh, don’t tell her!  I love her for her style, her composition, her colors, and now her smooth chill wedding photographer personality.

Christina warned me that I would love this couple-and that I did.  So without any further delay, here are some of my favorites from Megan and Matt’s lovely wedding day.

The dress was beautiful with the simple yet elegant details.  LOVE IT!

I’m not a flower fan. but OH MY am I now.  These flowers were so delicious, I became an instant fan.

Megan was such a beautiful bride and radiated true realness and spunk.

LOVE their style!!!

Scrumptious wedding cake!!!  Each layer was a different flavor.  My favorite had to be the german chocolate fancied up with yummies from the gourmet ice cream bar.  Yum!

Yes, Megan and Matt made sure that their adopted furry daughter Daisy was able to be part of and enjoy their special day.

Recently I’ve had several photo sessions with repeat clients and I just LOVE them.  I love watching the children grow up and develop their little personalities.  I get so attached to them and enjoy capturing their true essence.

All this takes me to the Mulligan’s.  A family of boys who adore and cherish their mom so much.  It’s refreshing to witness and capture.

As a side note “Mom” Larissa of LM Music Studio is Nate’s piano teacher.  She is FAB, so if you’re in need I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

I had one of those DUH moments when Stacie called me a year after shooting her and her family.  I photographed them not knowing or should I say realizing that her husband BJ was in the military.  I mean for real the short hair, the military bearing, you know just the vibe.  After serving many years in the military I never missed recognizing another military member, but since I’ve been out for so long I guess I’ve lost my sense of knowing another.  Anyway, I was honored when she said that she wanted to book me again for a family session, only this time focusing on BJ and his service, especially since he had just received his orders to Iraq.

She challenged me to find colorful patriotic walls for their location.  I knew Deep Ellum would be the place, I just had a hard time finding the big American flag that was RIGHT there! LOL! I’m very happy with the results, in fact I had a very hard time slimming down the photo selection.  This is defiantly one of my favorite family shoots to date!

It’s such a joy to see their little ones grow and develop into the precious little people that they are.

For sure Daddy’s girl!

hurrah!!!

all because these two fell in love!
