Hello, Hello!

Welcome to 2011; Goodbye 2010! We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season. We want to thank all of our supporters and followers for making this last year one of the most wonderful and memorable years that fickleZeal has had so far. We appreciate all the encouragement and assistance that you have given. We have a very bright outlook for 2011 and would love to continue to hear from you individually.

With that said, we’re excited to share that we are entering this New Year [2011] with a new

Blog + Website… as well as fresh branding that is more suitable for both Andre and I. We would love for you to regularly visit our new blog+site and let us know what you think, especially now that the comments work (whew). Feel free to CLICK ON OVER and check it out:D www.fickleZeal.com

But first, since we we not able to keep up with things on this blog we wanted to highlight some of the many special and exciting moments from 2010. This year has been an incredible year filled with so many exciting, heartfelt and emotional moments. We have been fortunate to photograph a variety of people and events that have been near and dear to our hearts. Below we have tried to quickly recap some of those moments, but it is not nearly enough to fully detail the entire year.

Again, thank you all for the amazing support. We hope this new year brings everyone more happiness, hope, appreciation of life and lots of remarkable memories that need to be captured for a lifetime!

Early this morning we had the pleasure of meeting Chanler, Dina, Kyle and “Howdy”. Chanler brought her charm, striking good looks, and loads of cuteness. It was one of the greatest and most memorable senior shoots that we have had. We laughed, loved, and YELLED!

At the beginning of our fun shoot, we were ambushed by a swarm of bumblebees! They came out from everywhere as Chanler struck a pose at the delicious Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant (near the Stockyards). We calmly and quickly got away from the lovely flowers which was the path the bee(s) had chosen…

Okay…the truth is, it was only one bumblebee and we all yelled, “AHHHHHH”, “EEEEEEE”, and “OOOOOHHHHMYYYYGODDDD”! It was a tiny bit frightening and thrilling but soooo worth it.

Check out this sneak peek of beautiful Chanler, Class of 2011!

It seems like not too long ago, they were new to saying I am a high school graduate (Class of 06 & 07).

Fast forward to the present where they proudly said “I do”.  Photographing these stages in their lives has brought such joy and satisfaction to my job.  Ah, I love what I do!!!

They worked as a wonderful team coordinating each detail of their wedding day.  Justin really step it up and was super attentive to everything Kayla needed.

Andre and I had a wonderful time capturing their love and unity.  We look forward to capturing so much more in their lives.

love these moments!bliss!in the moment!  true love!

Congratulations Kayla and Justin!  We wish you the best in your life and marriage together.

We had an adventurous morning of scouting our shoot areas, avoiding HUGE GIANT ants, trespassing, and being swarmed by bees and horses. Literally. I don’t get too much time to hang out with my niece Alyssa as she’s busy achieving whatever she puts her mind to and I’m busy.. well you know, being busy… This day was special as I was able to capture Alyssa, or should I say Ali all grow(n)…ing up. This year is her senior year and she’s doing a killer job at taking on her responsibilities and life. It brings me great joy to share these photo’s with you and the wonderful time that Ali and I shared together.

Love her personality here!

bea.u.ti.ful!

where the trespassing began. We were spooked out for a while even thinking we could get kidnapped. too funny!
By the way, we did eventually receive permission to shoot on this fantastic property.

Wonder.ful. dancer for the Lightning Dancers! I love the leap on the right captured by Andre.

much more to come from this great session in a later post!

It’s hard to believe that my nephew Mickey is growing up so fast.  These photos take me back to one of my favorite photos.  Its a moment captured of us just as I was leaving for my first Air Force assignment, to Italy.  I remember hugging him goodbye, not knowing when I would see him next or even at all.  You know new military member, not knowing what tomorrow will hold.  Anyway, his was one of my final hugs which I still treasure to this day. Isn’t he cute!

Okay, now on to his much more grown up self.

This past Saturday I had a blast working at Six Flags. Here’s a sneak peak at a SUPER fun Senior session with Jen.

I TRULY LOVE MY JOB!!! ;-) More to come soon!

At times I wonder how I get from one day to the next as time flies by faster than I can grasp. It seems like only a few years ago that I held my niece just hours after she was born. Only to be here now photographing her at 17 years old.

She’s truly growing up!
